Growing up in the Islamic country of Saudi Arabia made the experience of being raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints unique. When her family moved back to the United States she went through a discovery phase to determine the relationship she wanted to have with the Lord. 

In 2014, Brigit’s first spouse came forward as transgender. In search of resources, Brigit joined North Star and has been an active member ever since. Even though their marriage ended, Brigit and Ann are still close friends and work together often to help spread awareness of transgender needs within their local communities.

In 2022 Brigit married David Adams and they are blending their family of 5 children and one grandchild together. Together they have two queer children. Alyssa (17) identifies as bisexual and Mia (15) identifies as pansexual. Today Brigit & David live in Syracuse, Utah.

Within the Church, Brigit has served almost exclusively as a primary teacher. With a soft spot for Sunbeams, she is quick to volunteer to stay in the primary but has also recently been called to serve in the Relief Society Presidency.
