North Star Online Communities

North Star hosts a variety of private Facebook community groups, catering to various demographics, intended to provide a confidential, safe, and moderated forum in which you can offer and receive support in your efforts to faithfully live the gospel of Jesus Christ.

To participate in our social media groups, you will need to submit an application and agree to our terms of conduct and confidentiality.

As interest, need, and activity level evolve, these groups are subject to change. If there is a particular demographic for which you feel a group would be beneficial, please let us know. If there is sufficient interest, we will consider creating such a group.

Online Community Privacy and Anonymity

A private Facebook group restricts access to only registered and approved members of the group. Registered members are the only ones who can see the group exists, the members of the group, and any posts to the group. Joining this group, or posts that are made in the group do not appear on your personal wall nor on the news feed of anyone who is not already a member. We recognize how important your privacy and confidentiality are as you begin to address these issues and as you make connections with others in the North Star community.

Given the personal nature of Facebook and the amount of vulnerability involved, to join any of our Facebook groups it is required that you use your real name and identity. Profiles set up under pseudonyms are NOT allowed in North Star Facebook groups.

Registration Process

Read and agree to abide by our rules and obligations of membership. These rules are in place for a reason and will be carefully and respectfully enforced throughout your interaction in the group. Please read them carefully.

You may submit an application for more than one group. After clicking submit, each application will be reviewed by a member of our Online Community Registration Team assigned to the specific group(s) you want to join.

In approximately 1-5 days you will receive a separate response for each application via email. The email will come from our email domain (@NorthStarSaints.org) to let you know we have reviewed your application and your next step to join the group. (Please also check your spam folder.) We look forward to having you with us!
